Social Media and Hasbulla’s Rise

Posted on November 6, 2022November 6, 2022 By Dan@dyrexo.com No Comments on Social Media and Hasbulla’s Rise
Social Media Users

Social media is now an almost essential part of our daily lives. I mean you can live without it, but quite a lot of people use it. As per a report by Kepios, there were 4.74 billion social media users in October 2022.

People use social media sometimes just to be connected with people they know or just to know about what is happening around. The latest trend, to be more precise.

But some people use social media to market their brands or become influencers. The growth of social media influencers in the past few years has been phenomenal. Sometimes, people make enough money by advertising or promoting stuff on their social media handles to quit their 9 to 5.

With the next generation growing up with social media and using it on pretty much an everyday basis, it looks like next boom is going to be around this. But chances are its already here.

People upload a video or a few tweets and there is a probability that they may go viral.

Hasbulla and Khabib

Lets look at Hasbulla’s rise to fame and the role social media has played in it.

Hasbulla hails from Russia and was born with growth hormone deficiency. He rose to fame with his TikTok videos. He posted several funny and prank videos which went viral. A huge fan of UFC fighter Khabib Nurmagomedov, he used his social media posts to express his fandom. Soon, Khabib got to know about him and decided to meet him in person.

They are pretty good friends now and Hasbulla was seen with Khabib in UFC as well. There were false rumor’s that Hasbulla was Khabib’s son, which inadvertently boosted his fame.

He also gained popularity from his rivalry with Abdu Rozik. The video of their face off has gained a lot of attention and boosted their fame on social media in return. However, their fight never took place reports suggest that it might happen soon.

Hasbulla is also called as “Mini Khabib”, he got this nickname by posting a video re-enacting Khabib’s weigh in.

He also sold his personal NFT’s during the cryptocurrency and NFT boom.

His interview with Barstool Sports has almost reached 10 million views on Youtube.

Now, lets look at another case. This is something that just showcases how social media and its users have evolved. The Instagram Egg or World Record Egg. It was the most liked post on any website at one point of time and it still has 4.7m followers.

World Record Egg

All, I am saying is that now it just takes one post or a video on TikTok to make people famous. And once that is done, chances are your followers would skyrocket and give you a shot of being an influencer or a social media personality. Once a person starts following a page, there are pretty slim chances they will unfollow it. Once you are in their list of people being followed, the options to scale up from their get higher than what they were before.

The two cases show how social media has evolved and how it will evolve further is yet to be seen.
